06/22/2001 Dear Dr. Kirstein: After reading your web page and literature on acupuncture, I became convinced to try this method of treatment for the lower back, elbow and hand pain with which I have been suffering for many years. These pains were hampering my everyday living and the joy I gain from working in my garden. Over the years, I had tried nearly every over-the-counter medication, which only seemed to mask the pain and provide temporary relief. I decided I could no longer live with the pain and sought means for relief. After reviewing your information, I made an appointment and very much appreciated your quick response to see me. I am so amazed at the speed at which this treatment process took effect. In less than twenty-four hours after my first treatment, I regained the majority of strength in my hands, and increased mobility in my back. Days later, after exertion, I suffered some back pain, but this time it was temporary and within twenty-four hours, the pain was gone. Even over time the treatment continued to provide relief and repair the years of damage to my back. I had such great success with my initial treatment that I made a follow-up appointment for additional treatments. And, as with the first treatment, the response was positive. I feel this medical procedure has given me a second chance. Thanks for introducing me to medical acupuncture, which has restored my mobility, provided relief from pain, an endorphin high, and the feeling of happiness. I will definitely tell my friends and relatives of the benefits to be obtained from acupuncture, as life is too short to suffer needlessly.
